Chef Chris Humphries
Chris’ passion for great food started at the young age of 14 with his first job in the food industry. After graduating from George Brown’s Culinary Arts Program, and later the University of Ottawa for Food and Nutrition Management, Chris’ culinary journey took him to the Grand Cayman Islands where he honed his skills. until returning to Canada and ultimately becoming the Corporate Executive Chef for large restaurants in the Guelph, Kitchener, and Waterloo area. He has also owned and operated various restaurants in Ontario and Banff, Alberta.
Having a reputation for being on the cutting edge of culinary trends and a passion for innovation, numerous restaurants have consulted with Chris seeking his advice on menu design and operations. Wanting to give back to his community, Chris has also worked in culinary operations at long term care and retirement facilities. Moving forward, Chris now calls Jordan, Ontario home. Inspired by the bounty of the Niagara Region, Rustic Food & Catering was born
